Garp spoke through his half-eaten crackers, “You got to be more specific Senny. “I’m guessing you haven’t got the reports yet?” His goat trailed after him, munching on something or another.

He put his head in his hands and sighed heavily. Sengoku grumbled and went to his desk and sat down heavily.

He looked very frazzled and slightly pissed off, his black eyes focused on Garp. Garp looked at the door and saw Sengoku there. With Ace, he just wasn’t interested and forgot everything on purpose. Garp wasn’t even sure Luffy retained any of it, but Garp tried, so whatever happened happened. He also had more time with Luffy than Ace on how to understand Marine procedures. He started very early with Luffy because he was similar to himself in how it was hard to remember specific things over time. Garp thought back to the past when he tried to teach Ace and Luffy how to be good marines. It would be less stressful if Garp can keep an eye on him. Maybe that was why Garp tried to get him into the Marines so early. He was a trouble magnet, through and through. Another time he found Luffy talking to a band of thieves that wanted to kill him. He takes his eyes off Luffy for a second and he would find himself in a snake pit.

It was worrying, especially when he was younger, how much trouble he got up to. He was sturdy and Garp believes Luffy already found himself in another situation that will cause some sort of chaos. Stupid grandsons, making their grandfather worry. He was last seen on Saboady, going up against Kuma, and hasn’t been seen since. It was also worrying that he hasn’t heard of anything concerning his youngest grandson. But of course, him being a commander of Whitebeard devilized him even more, the idiot. Ace never did that many crimes, the worst of his transgressions were just destroying property and not paying for his food.

Now one of his grandsons would be on the execution stand just because he was his old rival's son. He could have protected both of them from the dangers their bloodline came with, but no, they both decided to be idiots and became pirates. If they both became marines, this would have never happened. But he was also a grandfather who loved his two idiotic grandsons that should have become Marines for god's sake. He was a marine and his loyalty has always been with the Marines since he was a teenager. It will be only a couple of more hours until Marineford will be embroiled in a war against the Whitebeards. Garp was sitting in Sengoku’s office, eating rice crackers absent-mindedly.
